Mara

Wonderful boho-style shoot with the ultra-talented Mara today: here's a preview of one of my favourites before I get stuck into editing. I love this one so much I made it my Facebook page header :) Watch this space for the rest.

Working on a few bohemian bridal-styled shoots at the moment, so here's a sneaky peak. I'll be working on editing these over the next couple of weeks so stay tuned for the finished product!

The Lone Stranger

Po Childs is a local musician and he asked me to take the promo shots for his new comedy alt country act, The Lone Stranger. Mission: create a swamp dog vibe right here in Brisbane. Accepted. This one was a huge amount of fun to work on, not least because of that rubber snake.

Sunday at the Cemetery

I think my shooting at cemeteries is going to become a thing. They're just so beautiful in the late afternoon sun.

Throwback Thursday - Tania & Eric's South Stradbroke Island Wedding

I've grown to adore wedding photography since I shot Tania and Eric's special day, of which I'm so honoured to have been a part. At the time it wasn't an area I was really focused on, as I was far more involved in fashion editorial and fine art styles. Since then I've studied a lot, I've read a lot, and I've looked at a lot of weddings, and it's definitely the place I want to be. There's a few different wedding photography styles: traditional/classic, modern/contemporary, documentary, and alternative, but its documentary that I love the most, for the sheer amount of emotion that can be captured. Add to that the ability to create artistic images and spending time with people on the happiest day of their life, it really is a fabulous way to shoot.
